The Australian Film Commission will hold seminars in Melbourne and Sydney, prior to the Cannes Film Festival, which aim to prepare actors and filmmakers for international festivals and marketplaces.
Actors and filmmakers who have participated in markets and festivals internationally, and previous recipients of AFC travel grants, will share their experiences with those people expecting to go overseas with a film or television program in the coming months.
International sales agent will brief participants on the expectations, demands and pressures of the international circuit and the agents of the participants will also be invited to attend.
A panel of filmmakers and sales agents will give case studies of particular markets and festivals and actors will talk about their experiences.
The seminars have been produced with the assistance of the New South Wales Film & Television Office and Film Victoria.
