AFC Closes London Office AFC Closes London Office

12 August 1999

The London office of the Australian Film Commission (AFC) will cease operations on Monday, 16th August 1999.

The closure, announced by the AFC in July, reflects the Commission's view that changing priorities for the industry, combined with technological developments, provide an opportunity for the funds currently used to maintain the office to be spent in more direct support to film projects and filmmakers in Australia.

For further information about the AFC and its activities, refer to the AFC website.
