In this issue:

Welcome to the February edition of AFC News for 2005.

In this issue we highlight the IndiVision screenings, coming up in the next week or two in Sydney and Melbourne, where you can meet The Station Agent co-producer Joshua Zeman to find out about the art of making a low-budget feature:

"Low-budget filmmaking really allows you to understand the process of filmmaking, the whole experience, from start to finish. And while that experience might not always be glamorous or exciting, it is your participation, and the sheer amount by which you bleed, sweat and cry that ultimately forms the heart and soul of your film."

In addition, free screenings and a seminar at Popcorn Taxi will explore the benefits and difficulties of making a low-budget feature film with special guests including filmmakers Rowan Woods and Geoffrey Wright. You can also read about two Twisted, the new funding initiative organised by Bryan Brown and the AFC's involvement in the upcoming Australian International Documentary Conference in Adelaide.

You currently subscribe to the AFC's monthly newsletter AFC News. You can also subscribe to Marketing Seminars or Get the Picture (industry statistics) monthly alerts.
