Launch of Metro Screen's Multicultural Mentor Scheme

Metro Screen media release

See yourself as the next Ang Lee or Sofia Coppola of short filmmaking? Full of ideas but daunted by NO money and NOwhere to cut your teeth?

Metro Screen with assistance from the NSW Film & Television Office is offering four people from non-English backgrounds the opportunity to make a short film.

As part of the multicultural mentor scheme [MMS], Metro provides an orientation and training; a cash budget; facilities + equipment; a showcase screening AND an industry mentor to assist each of the successful applicants through the whole production process.

Each place is fully subsidised.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to enter into the very competitive film industry, increase your production knowledge and enhance your skills. All you need is a story or idea and the vision to make it into a five minute film!

Deadline for applications: Friday 25 June 2004

The MMS is only available to people from non-English speaking backgrounds. For an information package call 9361 5318 or go to Metro's website.
