Indigenous New Media Lab 2004 call for applications

ANAT in association with Artworkers is pleased to announce the Indigenous New Media Lab 2004 (formerly National Indigenous School in New Media Arts).

Applications are now invited from emerging and established Australian Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander practitioners with experience in digital media, film, video, sound and visual arts.

The Lab will run for two and 1/2 weeks fulltime and will provide 15 practitioners with the opportunity to develop skills in internet and multimedia disciplines, including graphics, web, video production and editing, sound and 3D animation. The Lab will provide a supportive environment for networking and will focus on broader issues such as project development, cultural context, exhibition and distribution.

Applicants must submit an application form together with curriculum vitae and support material. Participants are encouraged to attend for the full 2 and 1/2 weeks of the Laboratory.

The cost of the Lab is $600 per student. Some participants will be eligible for travel and fee subsidies. Deadline for applications is FRIDAY JUNE 25, 2004.
