Berlin and Sundance set sail for Australia

The AFC will host festival guests from two of the world's leading international film festivals as part of the Festival Visitor Program administered by the AFC's Marketing Branch.

Maryanne Redpath, official delegate and Australia/New Zealand scout for Berlinale (the Berlin International Film Festival) will make her third visit to Australia. During her visit in the week of 25 September 2006, the AFC will screen the new crop of Australian feature films for potential selection as world/international premieres.

Promptly following is the AFC's first-time visitor Trevor Groth, Senior Programmer for the Sundance Film Festival. Trevor will also watch Australian feature films ready for selection into next year's festival.

The visitors will view a cross-section of rich stories from the current landscape of upcoming Australian feature films, of which there are many.

The 2007 Sundance Film Festival takes place 18-28 January, and the 57th Berlin International Film Festival will run 8-18 February 2007.

Please note: no unsolicited films will be accepted for screening.
