West is a drama set on the outskirts of a major Australian city. By focusing on the lives of Pete, Jerry, Cheryl and Mick the story exposes the struggle and aggression felt by many young people today. It is an unflinching look at the lack of choices and support that are provided to them in the transition to adulthood.

Daniel Krige is a writer/director with an impressive track record. The Door (1993) won the coveted Golden Hugo at Chicago International Film Festival and the Gold Plaque at San Francisco International Film Festival. Fuckwit (1995) was nominated for a BAFTA and an Australian Film Institute Award, and won an Australian Writers' Guild AWGIE and the Jury Prize at the Mexico City Film Festival. He has many television credits to his name, including Twisted Tales, All Saints and Fireflies.

Anne Robinson is currently a Longform Producer at Cutting Edge, one of Australia's largest post-production facilities. She started producing short films in 1999, and The Cherry Orchard, which she raised private finance for, was a finalist at the 2004 St Kilda Film Festival. In Australia and the United Kingdom she has produced music videos for high profile artists such as Delta Goodrem, Ultra Nate and Guy Sebastian, as well as TVCs, corporates and documentaries. West is Anne's first feature and she is currently developing two more.

Matthew Reeder graduated from the University of Technology Sydney majoring in screen writing and production in 2001. He produced the short feature New Skin (2002), which won a prestigious Dendy Award, was a finalist at the St Kilda Film Festival and had a successful theatrical limited release. Matt produced Sweet Dreams (2002) for the inaugural POV Festival which played nationally to critical acclaim, and won the Audience Award at the St Kilda Film Festival. Recently Matt has been producing music videos for Sony Australia and Liberation. West is Matt's first feature.
